近年来，制冷与低温研究所高度重视研究生的对外交流，特别鼓励研究生参加制冷与低温专业领域的高水平国际会议。通过参加国际会议，既可为同学们的科学研究带来最新的学术前沿信息，同时还可以开拓同学们在专业领域的视野，帮助同学们建立良好的国际学术交流合作关系，是培养研究生学术能力的有效途径。
制冷与低温研究所各位导师尽力为研究生同学们提供参加国际会议交流的机会，同学们也表现出了高度的参会积极性。据统计，2014年已有8位博士研究生，9位硕士研究生参加了在美国、荷兰等地举行的国际会议，包括2014 International Sorption Heat Pump Conference，The 6th International Conference on Applied Energy，The 18th International Cryocooler Conference，The 25th International Cryogenic Engineering Conference，2014 International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference，以及The 11th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Refrigerants。
